Beloved husband of Blanche (nee Honess). Loving father of Mary-Louise Purvis (Wally Bennett) of Naughton, Bruce Purvis of Naughton and Susan Strain (Scott) of Gore Bay. Grandfather of Jenna Ciliberti (Luca) of Calgary, Jillian Rintala (Brad) of Lively, Brandon Purvis (Christine) of Sudbury, Devan Purvis (Becky) of Naughton, Meghan and Mitchell Strain both of Gore Bay. Great grandfather of Taylor & Brady Mae Purvis of Sudbury, Cienna & Sebastiano Ciliberti of Calgary and Aliisa & Matti Rintala of Lively. Dear son of Clarence and Mary Purvis (nee Burns) (both predeceased). Treasured brother of Paul Purvis (Betty Lou) of Gore Bay, Marion (predeceased), Edward (predeceased) and Platt (predeceased). Will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Helen McColeman, Jean McKay and Jessie Bell. He will be sadly missed by his special friend Diane Purvis and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Blair was a past member of the Elk’s Lodge and belonged to the INCO Quarter Century Club. He will always be remembered for his love to play cards, traveling and he would never miss his morning walks and visiting with his friends. Many of his special moments were spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 5th Floor- Cardiac ICU at Health Sciences North for their compassionate care. At Blair’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
