GORE BAY—The Town of Gore Bay council has appointed a new clerk for the town.

At a special council meeting held June 15, “Council appointed Pam Fogal, who was the deputy clerk, to continue as the town clerk on a permanent basis, and as Mayor I appointed her as town manager for a period of 90 days or less, subject to a review at that time.”

Mayor Lane explained that earlier this month, “by mutual agreement, Jason Quinlan (who had been hired by the town just over a year ago as town manager) is no longer employed by the town as town manager.”
