The festival runs June 12 to 14 and offers a splendid weekend of the best in bluegrass acts from across the province and beyond. This is year two of being on stage at the new Lone Pine Stage. The event will be located at 12218 Highway 540, just outside of Gore Bay. Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates is holding an official opening of the North Channel Bike Park. The Gore Bay Museum is excited to welcome “Heartfelt Heritage – Manitoulin Roots”, an art exhibition by Canadian artist Christie (Best) Pearson Anderson of Christies Art at the [Gore Bay Museum, 12 Dawson St, Gore Bay](https://maps.app.goo.gl/R9EtKjF6o9mzX42E9?ref=manitoulin.com). Come enjoy a beautiful collection of paintings and drawings inspired by Manitoulin roots and heritage. The exhibition will continue throughout the summer until August 29. Starting with Beavers, hopes are it will expand to include the upper ranks of the popular youth programming in future years. Two very deserving members of the Manitoulin Minor Hockey Association have received very prestigious awards. Saturday’s daytime high will be 21°C with a 40 percent chance of showers (and a chance of thunderstorms) dropping to 13°C overnight and a 30 percent chance of showers. Sunday will see a 30 percent chance of showers, accompanied by daytime high of 17°C dropping to 8°C overnight under clear skies.
