Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old female who was deceased. The scene was secured, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death was initiated. As a result of the investigation, two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the death: **Davin WASSEGIJIG (19 years) is charged with:** - Second Degree Murder - Two counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order **A** **17-year-old female** is charged with: - Second Degree Murder The **identity of the 17-year-old accused cannot be released** in accordance with the provisions of the **Youth Criminal Justice Act**. Both accused were held in custody pending court proceedings. The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service Crime Unit and Uniform Officers continue to investigate with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services.
