[![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/45/6945cc49-bc3b-4cc3-bace-d0f9afcaa217/content/images/2026/08/Bousquet-Online-Ad-1.gif)](https://manitoulinproperty.com/?ref=manitoulin.com) Advertisement The Law Society Tribunal panel determined that the following allegation was established: Since February 10, 2026, contrary to both s. 49.3 of the Law Society Act and Rule 7.1-1 of the Rules of Professional Conduct, the respondent has failed to co-operate with and failed to respond to three Law Society investigations by failing to produce all information and documents requested by the Law Society. As a result of those failures, the Law Society Tribunal has issued the following orders: that “the respondent’s licence to practise law is suspended effective immediately and continuing indefinitely thereafter until, to the satisfaction of the Law Society’s Executive Director, Professional Regulation, or their designate (“the Executive Director”), the respondent has provided a complete response to the outstanding requests in the Law Society investigations, as particularized in the Investigator’s Summary Affidavit, affirmed on June 11, 2026, filed in this proceeding; the respondent’s licence to practise shall be suspended for a period of one month, to start immediately after: the end of the suspension ordered at paragraph one, above; and the end of any and all current suspensions of the respondent’s licence to practise law under Part II of the Law Society Act; the respondent shall comply fully with the terms of the Law Society’s Guidelines for Lawyers Who Are Suspended or Who Have Given an Undertaking Not to Practise while suspended pursuant to this order; and the respondent shall pay costs to the Law Society in the amount of $1,500 on or before the deadline of August 7, 2027\. This deadline may be extended by the Law Society in accordance with the By-Laws. Interest shall accrue on any overdue part of those costs at a rate of 4 percent per year.
