# Manitoulin OPP searching for wanted person

**(SABLES-SPANISH RIVERS TOWNSHIP, ON**) - The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is actively attempting to locate a wanted individual after an arrest warrant was issued in relation to an assault investigation. Police are also concerned for the individual's well-being and are requesting assistance from the public.

 Police are searching for Ryan WATSON, 47 years old, who was last seen in the area of Slater Back Line in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township on Sunday, August 16, 2026\. An arrest warrant has been issued in connection with an ongoing assault investigation.

 The Manitoulin OPP, along with the Manitoulin OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), are engaged in the investigation and active search.

 If seen, do not approach. Remain in a safe location and contact police immediately. Provide as much information as possible regarding his location and direction of travel.
