### August 14, 1953 - August 10, 2026

With sad hearts we announce the passing of Sandra Skippen (nee Pellis) on August 10, 2026, four days short of her 73rd birthday. Sandra is survived by her loving husband William Randolph “Randy” Skippen, her mother Verna Ceasar, her sister Wendy Pellis, her son Ryan, grandson Rylee, stepson Lenn Gavan and wife Julie, Troy Gavan and stepdaughter Cristy and her children. Micheal Skippen and Rachael and their children, Tom Skippen and children, nephew Andrew Bursey partner Jenn and children. Sandra was born in Sudbury, attended school in Sudbury and worked at Sudbury Carpetland until moving to Gore Bay to work at Manitoulin Transport. During vacation time and after retirement, she enjoyed travelling with Randy to the east coast and the west coast and fixing up their home (I think we painted everything four times and added a sunroom on the back). She was a loving sister to Wendy and a loving wife and partner to Randy. She had a way of turning something plain into something lovely. She was the centre of our family and managed to make everyone feel special, keeping in touch with everyone. Her longtime friend Carmen (of Sudbury) was a great comfort in the end to both Sandra and her family. Sandra has been cremated and there will be a graveside gathering and Celebration of Life planned for a later date. Sandra will be deeply missed.
