This year’s theme is “Looking Into the Future and Back to Our Roots.” To help celebrate the occasion of the 150th anniversary, admission is free. Host drum is Chi-Geezis, with second host drum River Wild. Head dancers are Tracy and Wes Cleland, with youth head dances Daynara Cyr and Tayton Mianskum. Head veteran is Jimmy Atkinson and master of ceremonies Joey Laford. Proceeds to benefit the church. ### 🐟 Fish Feast The annual Manitoulin Snowdusters’ fish supper will be held at the Rockville Hall on [Saturday, September 12 from 5 pm to 7 pm](https://calendar.app.google/L6u63ZHwVjkP6YU96?ref=manitoulin.com). $25 per person, $10 for children 10 and under. The performance runs from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The ensemble offers classical, jazz, folk and more, with special guest cellist David MacDonald. According to Environment Canada Friday will see a daytime high of 21°C under sunny skies with temperatures dropping to a low of 14°C overnight under clear skies. Saturday will see a 40 percent chance of showers and a daytime high of 21°C. Temperatures drop to 12°C overnight accompanied by a 60 percent chance of showers. Sunday is expected to continue to be dampish as the chance of showers is 40 percent, and the daytime high only 17°C. Temperatures will drop to a low of 9°C Sunday night with the chance of showers also dropping to 30 percent. ## 🤔 In case you missed it - A ceremony [dedicating the Manitoulin swing bridge to the memory of fallen OPP Constable Marc Hovingh](/swing-bridge-dedicated-in-honour-of-constable-marc-hovingh/) was held at the Manitoulin Hotel and Conference Centre. The event was attended by many dignitaries, members of the Hovingh family, friends and a host of emergency services members, who packed the hall to overflowing. - [Two fires over the course of three days](/two-fires-claim-two-lives-on-manitoulin/), one in Billings and the other in Wiikwemkoong, each caused a fatality. The names of the victims have not been officially released and the fires are currently under investigation. - The Expositor has reached out to the new owner of the [Neverlanding, a barge-like vessel that has been marooned in the Goat Island Channel for months](/neverlanding-plans-to-sail-from-north-channel-soon/). The new owner has committed to moving the vessel south and has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise gas money for the trip.
