Check out the yard sale notices on Page 22 in this week’s edition of The Expositor. --- ### What we are working on A shooting incident in Little Current, just outside Aundeck Omni Kaning, is being investigated by the Manitoulin OPP Detachment. Treaty Week was observed by local 91˵s and schools with presentations and displays at the site of the signing of the Manitoulin treaties at Manitowaning. The event included the return home and display of historical items, pipes and wampum belts. The Manitoulin Coin Club is growing by leaps and bounds. Saturday threatens a chilly and soggy start to the weekend, with the daytime high of 12°C being accompanied by a 40 percent chance of showers through into the night—but hey, that means there is a 60 percent chance of no showers. Temperatures will drop to 8°C overnight. Sunday the chance of showers rises to 60 percent, with the daytime high rising to 13°C dropping to 5°C overnight with a 30 percent chance of showers. The sun comes out on Monday. --- ### In case you missed it [The Bridal Veil Falls trails are **closed indefinitely** due to the recent flooding damage](/flood-damage-so-extensive-falls-trails-closed-until-asessment-is-completed/) that wiped out the trails and displaced the pedestrian bridge. Assessments of the damage are ongoing, but locals note the paths along the river have been totally washed away. Central Manitoulin municipal council has [stepped back from a Property Committee recommendation to not install an e-ceiling](/central-council-backtracks-on-prov-bay-arena-decision) in the Providence Bay arena. The backtrack was **greeted with cheers** from a packed council chamber. [A Mindemoya dietician is urging Islanders to **get active** this June](/mindemoya-dietitian-calling-on-islanders-to-get-active-this-june). There is $100,000 up for grabs in a ParticipAction challenge for the community who secures the title of Canada’s Most Active Community.
