This website is the online home for The Manitoulin Expositor newspaper.

Launched in 1879 by editor William Loe Smith, The Manitoulin Expositor is the oldest extant newspaper in the Northern Ontario region. The paper was acquired in 1970 by Rick McCutcheon, who had joined as an editor in 1968.

Today, The Expositor continues to thrive under the leadership of Publisher Alicia McCutcheon, who manages the day-to-day operations of the newspaper. Rick McCutcheon remains with the paper as Publisher Emeritus and was inducted into the Ontario Community Newspapers Association's Hall of Fame in 2020.
