Have you even woken up from a bad dream that was so vivid and so intense you just couldn鈥檛 shake it off? This happened to someone close to me the other day and these dreams are never easy to interpret or understand. It is said you are supposed to drink a glass of water and breathe deeply to reset and clear the energies, but I believe that dreams鈥攇ood or bad鈥攁re an important part of our mental health and balance. They act as a kind of filter and way of processing the events and energies in our lives. Our body sorts out all the information and messages in the dream- state and much like a fever that spikes to cool the body down, dreams have a cathartic way of cleansing the soul and senses. We must achieve REM sleep first and this is when our bodies and cells heal and restore themselves. I also believe our spirits and souls tap greatly into source during the dream state and we will often get messages from friends and family who have journeyed on. These dreams can be profound. Anyone who knows, knows. These messages and appearances are very deliberate, carrying messages of courage, love and assurance. We are all interconnected on a spiritual level with one another and with the natural world. Our ability to navigate difficult, unfamiliar and new experiences is much like those dreamscapes鈥攚e never know what to expect or where the waters will lead us. I believe that when you open your heart and mind to the powers that be you will be guided and will land on both feet. So, remember the advice of the great pumpkin: Be well rounded, get plenty of sunshine, give thanks for life鈥檚 bounty, have a thick skin, keep growing, be outstanding in your field, think big and of course dream bigger!
