Burnley McDougall died at Grey Gables on Saturday, August 29, 2026.  Born in North Bay, Ontario on December 8, 1945, Burnley Dalton Timothy McDougall of Balaclava, Grey County was 80 years old. Beloved husband of Zoë McDougall (nee Fleming) of 37 years.  Loving father of Jessica Simon (Abdoul Sow), Rob McDougall, Ryan McDougall (Jen), Andrew McDougall and Matthew Simon (Crissy).  Cherished Grandad of Ian Simon, Greyson Simon, Amina Sow and Djibril Sow. Dear brother of Camilla McDougall, Tim McDougall (Mary Beth) and Mary Jane Thompson (Dennis), and brother-in-law of Ann Fleming (Cliff Renfrew) and Rob Fleming (Michelle).  Burnley will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Lucy McDougall (nee Gosling), and his brother Bryan McDougall. Burnley was a devout Christian, avid hunter, a teacher of Shotokan Karate, lifelong defenceman in hockey and a reluctant assistant carpenter. A memorial service to celebrate Burnley’s life will be held at Meaford First Baptist Church, 35 Trowbridge St. W., Meaford, Ontario, on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Jim Neale officiating. Visitation from 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm, followed by a reception in the church hall.
