MANITOULIN鈥擣or more than 40 years, Crime Stoppers has provided residents in Greater Sudbury and Manitoulin with a safe and anonymous way to report crime and suspicious activity in their communities. Built on trust and confidentiality, the program serves as an important collaboration between the public and law enforcement agencies, helping communities stay informed and protected while ensuring tipsters remain completely anonymous.

According to Lee Anne Desrocher, office and event coordinator for Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers, one of the organization鈥檚 longstanding priorities has been keeping the public informed about criminal activity and legal developments throughout the region. 鈥淎n important thing that we have done since our inception has been providing monthly statistics about crime and legal developments since the inception of the program,鈥 Ms. Desrocher explained. 鈥淭he really important statistics which most people are interested in are often the drug and weapons seizures.鈥

鈥淢any residents may not realize just how expansive the organization鈥檚 reach truly is,鈥 Ms. Desrocher explained. 鈥淪udbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers serves not only Greater Sudbury, but also Manitoulin Island and many surrounding communities, extending as far as Perth (in the Ottawa Valley).鈥
