GORE BAY鈥擥ore Bay businessperson Deanna Hardy has been sworn in as the new council member for the Town of Gore Bay.
鈥淲elcome, Deanna,鈥 stated Gore Bay Mayor Ron Lane, at a town council meeting last week. 鈥淲elcome to the council table.鈥
Ms. Hardy told The Expositor, 鈥淚 am interested in serving on the council for Gore Bay because I care deeply about our community and the people who call it home. I have always been very community-minded and believe in supporting the growth, success and long-term sustainability of our town.鈥
鈥淎s a local resident and taxpayer, I understand how important it is that decisions made by council are responsible, transparent, and focused on the best interests of the people,鈥 said Ms. Hardy. 鈥淚 want to be a strong advocate for local taxpayers while helping ensure that Gore Bay continues to be a welcoming, vibrant, and affordable place to live, work and raise a family.鈥
