Debajehmujig Storytellers is staging 12 shows of 'The Night That Lingered' starting August 4 at the Manitowaning Creation Centre, blending comedy and traditional Anishinaabe storytelling.

MANITOWANING—Each summer, Debajehmujig Storytellers launches a mainstage production that highlights the very best in Indigenous theatre productions. This year the storied theatre troupe will be performing the production ‘The Night That Lingered,’ featuring a number of up-and-coming stars, as well as a few veteran performers.
“Our summer mainstage production ‘The Night That Lingered’ will have a total of 12 shows,” confirmed general manager Ashley Manitowabi.
“‘The Night That Lingered’ is about an estranged father and daughter hashing out a past traumatic night and fight for each other to help heal,” he shared of the synopsis. “This show shines a comedic light on challenging community struggles with elements of traditional teachings and storytelling.”
