Gore Bay recently welcomed three new physicians: Dr. Wendy Davie, Dr. Zeshan Talib, and Dr. Irfan Shahwani. Supported by the Practice Ready Ontario program and the Smith Family Foundation, the new doctors bring decades of experience to Western Manitoulin, doubling the town's medical team.
GORE BAY鈥擟ommunity members of Gore Bay and Western Manitoulin welcomed its three newest doctors to their new home this past Saturday.
鈥淭his is a very special day to introduce our three new doctors to Gore Bay and Western Manitoulin and acknowledge our existing three doctors,鈥 said Gore Bay Mayor Ron Lane at a meet and greet event held this past Saturday. 鈥淚t is good to see such a good turnout of community members. Being able to introduce three new doctors to Gore Bay is amazing and I can鈥檛 tell you how grateful we are all three of you have chosen our town and area.鈥
The three new doctors, Dr. Wendy Davie, Dr. Zeshan Talib and Dr. Irfan Shahwani, who were in attendance with their families, 鈥渂ring 50-60 years of clinical experience and training. We are welcoming three new physicians here in Gore Bay, but who had experience before coming here,鈥 stated Dr. Robert Hamilton, one of the guest speakers at the event.
