MANITOULIN鈥擳he Little Current Public School (LCPS) Coyotes track and field team are the 2026 Manitoulin Island elementary school champions. Approximately 250 athletes participated in the competition held over two days.

LCPS finished with a total of 220.5 points to win the overall Island championship. Charles C. McLean Public School (Gore Bay) finished second with a total of 183 points, while Central Manitoulin Public School (Mindemoya) placed third with 116 points.

Assiginack Public School (APS) (Manitowaning) was fourth with 89.5 points, with Wasse-Abin (Wiikwemkoong) finishing fifth with 83 points, Lakeview Elementary (M鈥機higeeng) placing sixth with 23 points. Finishing seventh with five points was a combined St. Joseph鈥檚 (Sheshegwaning) and Shawanosowe (Whitefish River 91成人导航) team.

Individually, in the age 9-year-old girls division, Rose Karn of LCPS won the gold medal garnering 10 points, following by a two way-tie for second and silver medal between Brinn Taylor of CMPS and Mikayla Bondy (Lakeview) who both finished with nine points. Rosie Wiwchar of C.C. McLean won a bronze medal with a third-place finish, with five points.
