Manitoulin Pet Rescue gala

A very successful fundraising gala was held for Manitoulin Pet Rescue at The Waters Edge Restaurant in Gore Bay Saturday. Carol Sheppard, who organized the gala reported that the event was a big success, with $8,057 being raised. A prime rib dinner was served to the many people that packed the restaurant for the event, which also included a silent auction and music provided by Doug Smith and the Manitoulin Swing Band during the evening. In photo left, (on the day prior to the event) Pam Bond, Amanda Beety, Sandra Valiquette and Carol Sheppard display just a few of the many items that were bid on during the silent auction.
