MANITOULIN—There will be elections in all Manitoulin Island municipalities, Cockburn Island and Killarney after the unofficial list of candidates for each was released last week. 

In Assiginack Township, there will be an election for both the seat of mayor and four council seats. Those running for the position of mayor include incumbent Brenda Reid, Jennifer Hooper, former mayor Dave Ham, Michael Phillips and Bill Holmes.

There are six people in the running for four council seats, including incumbent councillors Janice Bowerman, Dwayne Elliott, Rob Maguire, David McDowell and Frank Klodnicki.
