Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Bill Rosenberg provided an update on the Little Current Swing Bridge project, noting that foundation investigations and engineering work by Stantec Consulting Ltd. are moving forward, with a construction manager expected to be hired soon.

鈥淭hrough rough information I received from the engineering company and MTO (Ministry of Transportation), the construction manager general contractor service provider is anticipated to be hired by the end of August,鈥 said MPP Rosenberg, last Thursday.
MPP Rosenberg noted, 鈥淚 know Manitoulin residents are very interested in hearing about everything going on with the bridge, and I know things have been quiet concerning an update on the bridge. It鈥檚 moving at a snail鈥檚 pace, but it is moving forward.鈥
