MANITOULIN—As waterways across Manitoulin continue to flood, Manitoulin Streams is keeping a close eye on the state of the tributaries, hopeful that the restoration work they have done over the years is hanging on despite the torrents of water.

Seija Deschenes, Manitoulin Streams project coordinator, believes their work will stand the test.

“We won’t know anything until the water recedes, but we’re optimistic,” Ms. Deschenes said.
