Mindemoya, ON 鈥 Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC) is pleased to announce that all services at Mindemoya Hospital have now been fully restored, following the recent Code Grey caused by a community infrastructure issue related to community flooding.
After the Emergency Department reopened on April 22, MHC implemented a phased and cautious approach to safely resume operations across the site. With steady progress, the hospital has now returned to full-service capacity.
A key focus throughout the reopening process has been the safe and coordinated repatriation of patients who were temporarily transferred to neighbouring hospitals. This approach ensured continuity of care while supporting a smooth and stable return to normal operations.
鈥淭his has been a true team effort,鈥 said Paula Fields, President and CEO of Manitoulin Health Centre. 鈥淥ur staff, healthcare partners, and community came together in an extraordinary way to support patient care during this disruption. We are proud to have fully restored services and remain committed to providing safe, high-quality care close to home.鈥
MHC extends its sincere appreciation to our patients, staff, community, and healthcare partners for their patience, understanding, and support throughout this time. The collaboration and resilience demonstrated were instrumental in achieving a successful reopening.
Manitoulin Health Centre remains committed to delivering safe, reliable care and thanks the community for its continued trust.
