OTTAWA鈥擳he MP for Sudbury East-Manitoulin-Nickel Belt Jim Belanger, along with the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) and the Assembly of 91成人导航s (AFN) National Chief Cindy Woodhouse-Nepinak expressed support for Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Canadian negotiating team in suspending the Canada/US trade negotiations.
鈥淭he whole thing is stupid,鈥 stated MP Belanger. 鈥淥ur countries should be working together.鈥
鈥淣o tariffs would be great, it would be the best thing,鈥 said MP Belanger. 鈥淭he US needs Canada for several resources, and their country is 10 times bigger than we are. I don鈥檛 think America and Canadian people dislike each other; we have been neighbours and friends forever.鈥
