An eight-year-old boy nearly drowned at Bridal Veil Falls on Thursday afternoon (July 23). Quick-thinking parents performed CPR and resuscitated the unresponsive child before paramedics arrived and transported him to the hospital.
KAGAWONG鈥擜ccording to a local resident who was soon on the scene of an incident at Bridal Veil Falls last Thursday afternoon, a boy of about eight years old came close to drowning, if not for the lifesaving efforts of his parents.
鈥淚 happened to be driving by Bridal Veil Falls on my motorcycle when I saw an ambulance in the parking lot at the falls,鈥 said Martin Connell of the incident which took place at around 4 pm last Thursday afternoon (July 23).
The falls area had been reopened to public access earlier in the day, and there were many people visiting the falls, swimming under it and walking behind the falls.
