Shots are fired in fracas near Little Current
OPP arrested a suspect following an isolated shooting at a Highway 540 home near Little Current on May 20. No injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Person arrested, no charges laid at this time
LITTLE CURRENT鈥擜t approximately 8 pm on Wednesday, May 20, police responded to reports of a shooting at a house located just outside of Little Current on Highway 540, just past Mountain View Cemetery.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on scene that night and the next day.
The OPP put out a call on social media last week, requesting any dashcam footage from drivers in the area around the time of the incident.
OPP confirmed with The Expositor Monday that gun shots were fired at the Hwy 540 residence Wednesday evening, and no one was hit or injured.
鈥淭here is no threat to public safety as this was isolated incident,鈥 the OPP reports. 鈥淭he investigation is ongoing and complex in nature and no charges have been laid at this point.鈥
The person departed the residence on foot and was later arrested by police.
