The Manitoulin Special Olympics bowling team earned 14 ribbons at a Sudbury regional competition. All 14 bowlers placed in the top three of their divisions, with four capturing first-place finishes.
MANITOULIN鈥擳he Manitoulin Special Olympics (MSO) bowling team brought home a staggering 14 ribbons from a regional competition held recently in Sudbury.
鈥淎ll our bowlers did really well, everyone bowled above their average scores and it was a great day,鈥 stated Janet Anning, MSO coach, after the competition. 鈥淲e had 14 bowlers take part, who brought home 17 ribbons. Our team had four first place finishes, seven second place and three third place finishes.鈥
Finishing first in their divisions were Norman Daoust, Danielle Foreshew, Linda McCulligh, John Hopkin. Those bowlers finishing second in their division included Tim Bradley, Carole Daoust, Roger Howard, Triston Eadie, Elizabeth Cooper, Dylan Danville, Charlotte Wright. Tyler Madahbee, William Leclair, Bruce Vanhorn, placed third in their divisions.
