鈥淭he Distinguished Community Partner Award demonstrates that partnerships are able to make a meaningful change in people鈥檚 lives,鈥 said Jennifer Urosevic, VLRC鈥檚 president and chief executive officer. 鈥淏ecause of Manitoulin Transport鈥檚 generous support, thousands of patients across Northern Ontario have received the eye care they need.鈥

As a fully equipped mobile clinic, the Eye Van offers high-quality ophthalmologist care to underserved and remote areas throughout Northern Ontario. Annually, it serves approximately 4,000 patients where access to specialized care is limited or unavailable. Manitoulin Transport鈥檚 support helps the Eye Van program reach some of the region鈥檚 most geographically isolated areas.
