Wikwemikong band member Dr. Dawn Memee Lavell-Harvard, president of the Ontario Native Women’s Association and vice- president of the Native Women’s Association of Canada, has been appointed to the Senate selection advisory committee tasked with changing the partisan manner in which appointments to Canada’s upper chamber are made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
