These Espanola High School (EHS) friends were among a group of eight EHS teens who visited the memorial honouring the students of the boys’ and girls’ Indian residential schools at Spanish last Friday, respectfully placing children’s shoes and other tokens. The monument is located on the grounds of the boys’ school and across from the ruined remains of the St. Joseph’s School for Girls. They are, from left, sisters Acadia and Nyssa Solomon from Massey and Ryan Forcier of Lang Lake.
