Police seized $126,000 in drugs, over $20,000 cash, and two handguns in a Wiikwemkoong raid. Four individuals face trafficking and weapons charges, while a fifth was charged with obstructing police.
WIIKWEMKOONG鈥擜 search warrant executed on May 1 by police officers has led to the seizure of drugs estimated at a street value of $126,000. The drugs included cocaine, crack cocaine fentanyl and prescription pills.
Police officers also seized more than $20,000 in Canadian currency, along with two handguns, including one loaded firearm.
Members of the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service (WTPS), with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police emergency response team, community street crime unit and the UCCM Police Service K9 unit, laid multiple charges following the search warrant in the community.
