PROVIDENCE BAY—Its shaping up to be a great weekend of music as the Bluegrass in the Country music festival will take place . The festival offers a weekend of live bluegrass and country music, camping, and community activities, all while raising funds for Manitoulin Special Olympics (MSO).

“Super excited, I can’t wait for the weekend,” stated Ben Lentir, main organizer of the Bluegrass in the Country celebrations that are slated to take place at the new Lone Pine Stage in Providence Bay. “With some new performers coming for this year’s event, and several returning performers taking part, we’re super excited for the weekend and grateful for all the volunteers and sponsors that allows us to bring this together. Without all the volunteers and sponsors there would be no Bluegrass in the Country.

“This year’s lineup includes new performers including the featured band Larry Efaw and the Bluegrass Mountaineers, from Ohio, Duke Street Turnaround, a Toronto band, and the Larry Carriere Different Picks, a southern Ontario band.”
