Ontario teachers, including Manitoulin/Sudbury unions, rallied April 29 demanding more education funding, smaller classes & supports.
SUDBURY-MANITOULIN鈥擳eachers and education workers from education unions across the province, including Manitoulin Island and Sudbury, held a solidarity rally last Wednesday to demand investments in publicly funded education from the province.
From underfunding to larger class sizes and insufficient supports for special education, more than 250,000 educators from across Ontario united in a day of action on April 29.
鈥淭he people of this great province are not getting anything out of this government,鈥 stated Liana Holm, president of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) Rainbow local in Sudbury.
