MINDEMOYA—As golfers were swinging clubs as part of the groups second annual fundraiser golf tournament last Friday, Friends of Mindemoya Old School (FOMOS) are excited that renovation work on the school will swing into action soon.

Renovations of the Mindemoya Old School, “will take place in late September or early October,” said FOMOS president Jan McQuay. “In August, tenders will go out for the main floor construction.”

Ms. McQuay explained, “we had a (recent) meeting with Belanger/Salach our project managers and we discussed when tenders should go out for general contractors to do the work. It was agreed that the tenders will go out in August, as at this time of the year most contractors are busy with other projects.”
