The UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service hosted its annual general meeting in M’Chigeeng, where leadership emphasized a commitment to trauma-informed policing, community relations, and traditional ways.
M’CHIGEENG—A warm late spring day was just about perfect for the setting of UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service (UAPS) annual general meeting held in the ground just across from the police station in M’Chigeeng.
The meeting was begun in a good way with a smudge followed by a prayer delivered by newly elected M’Chigeeng Ogmaa Glen Hare.
Chief of Police James Kileen welcomed the assembly and acted as emcee for the afternoon agenda.
