GORE BAY鈥擮n August 17, Lake Kagawong received 7,954 advanced walleye fingerlings courtesy of the Gore Bay Fish and Game Club (GBFGC) community hatchery.
This year鈥檚 stocking marked the record best number and size of fish in the club鈥檚 fish rearing history of walleye.
Club members and volunteers nurtured these fish from .30 of a gram to an impressive 8.60 grams (or four-inch average length). They spent 49 consecutive days and logged over 500 volunteer hours to achieve these results.
