The MHC Little Current Auxiliary hosted its successful second annual High Tea for a sold-out crowd of 90 guests. The event featured local delicacies, a variety of teas, and fancy attire.
LITTLE CURRENT鈥擳he MHC Little Current Auxiliary has done it again. On Sunday, May 31, coinciding with the run of the Manitoulin Trade Show, they ran their High Tea with a sold-out crowd. Actually, their second annual High Tea was a bigger success than last year鈥檚, simply because they increased the number of tickets sold from 60 to 90. Last year鈥檚 event was sold out in a matter of days, with people clamouring to attend. By popular demand, the number was increased this year.
Patti Aelick and Tooti Blake spearheaded the project with the help of many auxiliary members aiding in slicing and dicing and creating the fillings for the many delicacies on offer. There were also the servers and the dishwashers, a host of members helping to make the event the smashing success the attendees all agreed it was.
Ladies and gentlemen (there were three or four gents in attendance) came out in their fanciest attire. Many women modeled their fascinators and other elaborate headwear. A garden of brightly coloured heads bobbed this way and that at tables filled with colour and laughter.
