Manitoulin Island artists Crystal Shawanda and rock band The Johnnys have secured multiple nominations at the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards, taking place June 18-20 in Sudbury.
MANITOULIN鈥擬anitoulin Island is well represented at the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards (NOMFA) with two performers, Crystal Shawanda (up for three awards) and The Johnnys, featuring Veronica Johnny and Dave Johnny, up for two awards.
Crystal Shawanda has been nominated for outstanding album, 鈥楽ing Pretty Blues鈥, outstanding Indigenous artist or group and outstanding vocal performance for the song 鈥榃ould You Know Love.鈥
