The seventh Manitoulin Streams Jackets and Jeans dinner and auction in Aundeck Omni Kaning was a huge success. The event featured live and silent auctions and honored the late Delmer Fields.
AUNDECK OMNI KANING鈥擳he seventh Manitoulin Streams Improvement Association Jackets and Jeans dinner and auction event was held this year in the Four Directions Complex in Aundeck Omni Kaning鈥攁nd once again, it was a resounding success.
鈥淭his is our seventh event,鈥 noted chair Ted Williamson, who noted a string of successes. 鈥淲e are in a new venue,鈥 he said of the Four Directions Complex. 鈥淚t is the second year we鈥檝e been at it, and it鈥檚 worked out great. Our caterer (Pam Roy of M鈥機higeeng) is wonderful.鈥
The event is usually held on Father鈥檚 Day, but Mr. Williamson noted that the venue was already booked for another event, so the decision was made to hold Jackets and Jeans a weekend earlier.
The evening鈥檚 events were shepherded ably by master of ceremonies Liam Campbell.
Despite the week earlier timeline, the tables lining the Four Directions hall were filled with an awesome assortment of silent auction items from donors and sponsors near and far鈥攁nd the live auction items were nothing short of awe-inspiring.
