Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Little Current celebrated its 140th anniversary with a service led by Archbishop Anne Germond, who highlighted the parish's history and the symbolic meaning of the narthex.
LITTLE CURRENT鈥擜nglican clergy from across Manitoulin Island and beyond joined Anglican Bishop of Algoma the Most Reverend Anne Germond and the congregation in celebrating the 140th anniversary of the establishment of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Little Current.
Archbishop Germond has served as the 11th bishop of Algoma since 2017 and also serves as the Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario.
鈥淚鈥檓 delighted that Father Gerry (of St. Bernard鈥檚 Roman Catholic Church and St. Gabriel Lalemond in Birch Island) has joined us this afternoon as well as a number of clergy from the deanery and one of your past incumbents, Reverend Doug Prebble is here. We also have someone who belongs to the Diocese of Niagara and who is a member of provincial council. It is wonderful to welcome you.鈥
