The 348 Sea Cadet Corps held its 22nd Ceremonial Review in M’Chigeeng, celebrating a busy training year. Highlights included drills, awards, and a formal change of coxswain from Landon Aelick to Samuel Pennings.
M’CHIGEENG—Manitoulin 348 Sea Cadet Corps held its 22nd Ceremonial Review at Manitoulin Secondary School before an appreciative crowd that included not only the usual family and friends, but also members of the newly established Ed Kift Manitoulin Navy League Cadets—the younger cadet stream.
Master of ceremonies Lt. (N) Sylvain Boucher began the day’s events with a land acknowledgement and a prayer by elder Joseph Laford.
The colours were marched on for the opening of the colours ceremony and the playing of O Canada, followed by one minute of silence to remember and honour those who served.
