November 20, 1937 - July 12, 2026
In loving memory. Marguerite passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Sandfield Township on November 20, 1937 and grew up on the family farm in Tehkummah. Upon graduating high school, she began working for the Sudbury Star newspaper in Sudbury and later took further schooling and worked for the RBC until she and her husband retired and moved back to Manitoulin Island. Marguerite was heavily involved with the Order of the Eastern Star and this became a substantial circle of friends throughout her life. Marguerite and her husband Norm enjoyed many travels together and were fortunate to have visited many places during their time together. She especially cherished the times when her kids and grandkids came to visit. She would always have cookies and fresh baking prepared ahead of time for all to enjoy. Marguerite will be remembered by her sons Tom (Donna) and Tim and her sister-in-law Marilee Hore. She will be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren Jessica (Paul), Josh (Allison), Sydney, Graeme and Alison, as well as her five great grandchildren Sophie, Rosalie, Brooke, Peyton and Zoe. Marguerite was predeceased by her parents Everett Paisley and Catharine Paisley (McQuarrie), step-father Mac McQuarrie, her sister Helen Beaudry, brother-in-law Bill Beaudry, brother-in-law Doug Hore, daughter-in-law Susan Hore as well as her first husband Paul Hall. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may donate to the Manitoulin Health Centre Auxiliary, the Manitoulin Centennial Manor or a charity of their choice in memory of Marguerite.
