D.O.B. - June 22, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of Nola Wilhelmina Golder (nee Aelick) announces her peaceful passing on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the age of 81. Nola will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tristan, Mason, Tanner and Beth Golder, Michael and Anthony Sarra; her sisters-in-law Doris, Gertrude, and Helen Aelick and Diane Golder; her many nieces and nephews; and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents Elias and Henrietta Aelick; her children Michael and Tammie; her husband, Frank; and her brothers Bob, Dick, Tuff and John (Marian). Born and raised in Little Current, Nola dedicated 30 years of service to the Manitoulin Centennial Manor, where she was known for her compassion and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in knitting, tending to her remarkable garden, and taking evening car rides in search of deer. Above all, she cherished time spent with family and friends. Nola was a gifted storyteller who delighted in sharing memories of her childhood and family, especially the mischief her brothers found themselves in. Her stories, warmth and humour created lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. A date will be announced for a graveside memorial service at Cold Springs Cemetery. At the end of her journey, she was supported with great compassion by an exceptional care team. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury, would be sincerely appreciated.
