HONORA BAY鈥擳he Manitoulin Nordic Ski Hill property that hosts the popular Caf茅 in the Woods music series and hiking trails has taken on another new and exciting role as well鈥攖he Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates (MICA) North Channel Bike Park.

Manitoulin Island has long drawn road cyclists to its scenic shores, but on Saturday, June 13, the North Channel Bike Park鈥攖he Island鈥檚 first dedicated mountain bike facility鈥攚ill hold its grand opening at 2619 Hwy 540 near Little Current, offering new opportunities and drawing enthusiasts from across Northern Ontario eager to be among the first to drop in on its freshly cut trails.

The park, developed under the leadership of the Manitoulin Island Cycling Advocates (MICA) and its president Maja Mielonen, has been years in the making. Construction on the 80-acre property ran throughout the summer of 2025.
