September 3, 1965 – February 22, 2026 & May 5, 1974 – February 22, 2026

Paul Glenn Blackwell September 3, 1965 – February 22, 2026 and Jennifer Mary (Haner) Blackwell May 5, 1974 – February 22, 2026. They left this world together the same way they lived each day – side by side. Paul was the youngest son of Leonard and Loretta Blackwell (both predeceased) and loving brother of Richard (JoAnne), Brian (predeceased), and Carol (Tom) Tyson. His two sons, Scott (Kennedy Bardell) and Darren (predeceased) were his greatest achievements, and he loved them with all his heart. His sweet, young granddaughter, Lauren, and her new little brother, Beau, brought him overwhelming joy. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his nieces, Lindie, Danielle, Renee and Kaitlin, his great-nephew, Hayden, and his great-nieces, Madison, Scarlet and Violet, as well as by his lifelong friend, Gianni. Paul was a hard-working man who was an excellent carpenter and jack-of-all-trades. If there was something he couldn’t build or fix, he would find out how to.  Jen was always by his side while he worked on projects, often working as hard as he did and always giving valuable advice. They were an amazing team to watch. Other than spending time with cherished family, not much could match the time he spent with Jen at their lovely cottage, enjoying the nature that surrounded them. Paul was a devoted husband, family man and friend who will forever be in our hearts. Jennifer, better known as Jenny to all who loved her, was the loving daughter of Frank and Anne (predeceased) Haner. She was the cherished sister and lifelong best friend of Kevin (Kelly) Haner, and a devoted, proud aunt to Koral and Konnor Haner, who were truly the apple of her eye. She was a proud and loving stepmother to Scott (Kennedy Bardell) and Darren (predeceased), and a devoted grandmother to Lauren and Beau. Jenny will be lovingly remembered by Frank’s partner, Eva, and the entire West family. She will be deeply missed by the entire Cox, Haner, and Blackwell families. Jenny was a true family woman. Whether spending long, laughter-filled days at camp or hosting lively family gatherings, she was in her element when surrounded by the people she loved most. Her laugh could be heard from a mile away, and it brought instant joy to anyone lucky enough to be in her orbit. She had a way of making moments brighter and memories last. The day she met Paul was the day everything fell into place. Together, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and unwavering devotion. The love they shared was undeniable – a rare and beautiful bond that many hope to find. They faced life hand in hand, and in the end, they left it the same way. Their legacy lives on in the family and friends who will carry their love, laughter, and spirit forward. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CMHA Sudbury/Manitoulin or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
