Peter Carter will cycle 700 miles in seven days for the "Perth 700" event. He aims to raise $10,000 to upgrade ultrasound equipment at the Manitoulin Health Centre.
MANITOULIN鈥擮n May 25, Manitoulin Island鈥檚 own Peter Carter will take on an extraordinary endurance challenge, one that brings together passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to community health.
Mr. Carter will be participating in the Perth 700, a seven-day cycling event in Perth, Ontario, where upwards of 40 riders will take on one hundred miles each day, covering a total of 700 miles over the course of the week. The vision is to grow the event to 50 committed riders, each raising funds for a charity that is meaningful to them and their community. While the physical challenge is impressive, Mr. Carter鈥檚 motivation goes far beyond the distance.
