Scott McDougall of Gore Bay received the SREB Volunteer of the Year Award. A dedicated community pillar, he was honored for his long-term service in local sports, events, and town committees.
GORE BAY鈥擥ore Bay resident Scott McDougall has been awarded with the Volunteer of the Year-Within the Community Award by the Sudbury Real Estate Board (SREB).
鈥淚 was very surprised to receive this award,鈥 said Mr. McDougall. 鈥淚 appreciate the recognition and acknowledgment, but I don鈥檛 volunteer for recognition or awards, but to help support the community.鈥
Mr. McDougall was nominated by a colleague, according to Abbie Faulkner of SREB. 鈥淚 am writing to nominate Scott McDougall for the Volunteer of the Year Award. Scott is an agent at Bousquet Realty, Brokerage, where I work, but more importantly he has long been a pillar of the Gore Bay community. His family roots on Manitoulin Island go back four generations, and his dedication to this community is reflected in that deep connection.鈥
