Two Island golfers qualify for All-Ontaro Senior Championships

Manitoulin golfers Denis Audette (AOK) and Pierre Trudeau (WUT) qualified for the All-Ontario Senior Championships. Audette won the NGA qualifier with a 71 at Timberwolf, while Trudeau placed second with a 78.

MANITOULIN—Two Manitoulin Island golfers have qualified for the All-Ontario Senior championships. The two include Denis Audette of Aundeck Omni Kaning (AOK) and Pierre Trudeau of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory (WUT).

“On Sunday, June 7, I took part (and won) the Northern Golf Association senior men’s championship and qualified for the All-Ontario Senior Championship,” said Mr. Audette. He won the championship with an 18-hole score of 71, one under par at Timberwolf Golf Course in Sudbury.
