PROVIDENCE BAY—One of Manitoulin Island’s biggest summer celebration is back and better than ever! The Providence Bay Agricultural Fair marks 142 years as a mainstay of fun and entertainment for families on Manitoulin Island and this year’s edition runs from under the theme ‘Carnival Lights and Musical Nights.’

The fair’s music festival has become one of the highlights of the Manitoulin summer calendar, taking up the mantle of the former Manitoulin Country Fest. Friday night brings classic rock royalty Kim Mitchell to the stage as headliner, while Saturday delivers high-octane country-rock from The Road Hammers—a lineup organizers are calling the biggest party of the summer on the Island.

Weekend passes cover both concerts plus full fairground entry, with single-day passes, campsites and VIP packages also available.

The concert series has grown steadily in recent years and this year is no exception. The Providence Bay Agricultural Society expanded its music offerings to feature classic rock acts alongside Canadian Country Music Association Award winners and the fairgrounds recently got a major upgrade to match, with a brand-new, purpose-built stage on the west side of the property, part of a broader push to grow the fair’s live music footprint for years to come.

But the Prov Fair is much more than a concert— it is a true country fair.

Beyond the headline acts on the Friday night, the fair keeps its agricultural roots front and center. Visitors can expect the classic sights that have defined the event since its founding in 1884, that is livestock shows, home baking and craft competitions and family-friendly midway attractions. Horse enthusiasts can look forward to clinics and demonstration shows on the fairgrounds, presented in partnership with the Manitoulin Horse Enthusiasts Club.

The Providence Bay Fairgrounds are nestled beside the Providence Bay Arena on beautiful Manitoulin Island and offer plenty of room for the whole family to spread out, whether that means catching a concert, browsing exhibits, or just enjoying the open green space the grounds are known for.

Whether you’re coming for Kim Mitchell’s classic rock hits, The Road Hammers’ country-rock energy, or the timeless charm of a small-town agricultural fair, Providence Bay promises three days of community, competition and celebration under the summer sky.

Tickets and full event details are available through the Providence Bay Fair’s official channels.
