Chief Patsy Corbiere returned to office in AOK
Incumbent Patsy Corbiere was re-elected as Chief of Aundeck Omni Kaning 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, narrowly defeating Peter ‘Benji’ Nahwegahbo, alongside seven newly elected council members.

AUNDECK OMNI KANING—The votes have been tabulated, and the people have spoken in this past Saturday’s band council election.
Incumbent chief Patsy Corbiere has been re-elected chief of the Aundeck Omni Kaning 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, according to the official Statement of Votes released following Saturday’s election by Chief Electoral Officer Sheila Nigonobi.
Chief Corbiere secured 138 votes, narrowly edging out Peter ‘Benji’ Nahwegahbo, who received 133 votes, while Donald James Trudeau (McGraw) brought in the final 11 votes. A total of 282 ballots were cast for the office of Chief, with four ballots rejected.
Seven councillor seats were also up for grabs, drawing a deep field of candidates. A total of 285 ballots were cast for council, with nine rejected.
