It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald Maynard Fenerty on July 17th, 2026, at Mindemoya Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old. Don was born on December 3rd, 1940, and made Manitoulin Island his permanent home in 1985, where he enjoyed the beauty, peace, and close-knit community for more than 40 years. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Brenda (Wright) Fenerty; his brother, Bob (Yolanda) Fenerty; his two sons, Tim (Shannon) Fenerty and Jeff (Kerrie) Fenerty; and his cherished granddaughters, Kelsey (Thomas) and Katie (Landon). Don will be dearly missed by his family and friends, both near and far. He will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the many memories he leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Mindemoya Hospital for their compassion and kindness during Don’s final days. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Service.
